Reality TV star Bethenny Frankel is rumored to be going through a divorce.
The news is still fresh, but as The Miami Herald reports, the star of "Bethenny Ever After" isn't enjoying her ever after. She has been photographed without a wedding ring and sans hubby Jason Hoppy, reports the Herald.
These rumors have been circulating for a while now, as a May 2012 article from RadarOnline talks about Frankel's "iron clad prenup".
It's pretty likely that Frankel would have a sound prenup, given that she's a businesswoman as well as a reality TV diva. Frankel has been appearing on reality shows for years, dating back to her appearance on Martha Stewart's version of "The Apprentice."
Frankel met Hoppy while on the set of "The Real Housewives of New York" (despite the fact that she wasn't really a housewife, or even a wife, at the time). After tying the knot with Hoppy, she went on to star in her own reality TV show, "Bethenny Ever After," which chronicled her married life. It was there that fans first started getting a hint of her impending divorce.
According to RadarOnline, Bethenny's career has taken off in the past few years. She is one of Forbes magazine's highest-earning women, selling her Skinnygirl cocktail empire for $120 million.
Frankel's prenup reportedly outlines all of her business deals, her endorsement as well as the proceeds from Skinnygirl. These ultimately belong to her, writes RadarOnline.
Despite the fact that the prenup was amended, Hoppy effectively waived any rights to the Skinnygirl empire.
There are some cheating allegations against Frankel -- allegations which could hurt her if the divorce is filed in New York. However, if the divorce is filed in California, where Frankel is currently staying, the divorce could be much smoother. California, like Texas, is a no-fault state.
